This is a high-end chess set featuring Disney characters.I purchased it about 18 years ago from the World of Disney section in Disneyland, California, where they sell high-end merchandise. It was a particularly luxurious item that caught my eye. It cost around $1,000 at the time.The board features a damasquinado design with Mickey, Minnie, and other Disney characters, making it a genuine piece, not just a simple gift item.Damasquinado is a gold inlay technique originating from Toledo, Spain. The fact that the gold shine hasn't changed since I bought it is proof of its purity.This is a genuine chess set made by Anframa, a company from Spain.The pieces are also made of metal and have a substantial weight, giving a satisfying feel.
