Before travel by passenger plane became common, the Matson Lines, which connected San Francisco and Hawaii, was a route to paradise.

The Matson Lines was founded in 1882. It started its first voyage from San Francisco to Hawaii and launched luxury liners such as the "Maroloa" and "Lurline." As Hawaii gained attention as a resort, they built the "Royal Hotel," the most luxurious and famous hotel at the time, in Honolulu.

Looking at the design, the grand landscape is likened to the sea, with the luxury liner Matson Line floating on the horizon, and the design depicts hula girls and the Royal Hawaiian Band welcoming it, nostalgically portraying the scenery of ship travel at the time. The simple woven name tag from the early days of the "Hale Hawaii (House of Hawaii)" brand, led by Wah Choo Lock, founded in 1948, is also attractive.
