Vintage Oak Card File Box
This is a vintage oak card file box, likely from the Owl Manufacturing Company, dating back to the 1960s. These boxes were often used for storing index cards, recipes, or other small items. The box features a dovetailed construction, brass hinges, and a metal sliding place holder to hold the cards in place. Some of these boxes have an owl logo stamped on the inside of the lid. The box's dimensions are approximately 10 long, 5 7/8 wide, and 4 1/2 tall, and it can hold cards up to 7 x 5”.
