Antique Opal Heart Shaped Cocktail Ring with 8 Opals

This is a very nice antique ring with 8 attractive opals in it. The ring is in a heart shape. It is signed s/s and also says STERLING which tells me it definitely has some age to it. I am not sure if the s/s is for sterling silver or if it is a makers mark because I could not find another one like this anywhere. The ring is in good antique condition. It does have some scratches and dings from normal wear, some discoloration on the silver, tarnish and some scratches on the opals themselves. The opals are very pretty with some great fire in them. The center stone is kind of dull since it sits higher and has the most scratches on it. The ring is a size 6.25 and the total weight is 3.3g.
