The mini textbook was written by Llewellyn V. Ludy M.E., member of the A.S.M.E. It was published by the American Technical Society (Chicago, 1918). The original copyright was 1909 Great Britan. The mini textbook is in overall good condition with some scattered scuffs on red cloth board cover (seen in photos). There are a few minor black smudges on the inside pages. Pages are white and clearly printed. It is illustrated throughout and contains numerous vintage photos of locomotive engines, detailed drawings, and various diagrams and graphs. The book covers locomotive boilers, locomotive engines, design of parts for engines, locomotive appliances, throttle valves, railway signaling, and locomotive operation. It comes with a 1919 (U.S. Washington) suppliment; The Economical Use of Railroad Fuel (small crease to middle) Thank you
